  1. Fixation of membership in the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan

The People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan has an individual fixed membership, certified by a single party ticket. A sample of a single party ticket is approved by the Executive Committee of the Central Council of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan.

  1. Conditions of membership in the PDPU

A citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan, who has reached 18 years of age, recognizing the party’s program goals and fulfilling the requirements of its Charter, supporting the party with material means, can become a member of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan.

Membership in the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan does not limit the constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens. It is incompatible with being in other political parties.

  1. The procedure for admission to the PDPU

Admission to membership of the PDPU is carried out by the primary organization on an individual basis at the request of the entrant.

Citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan, formerly members of other political parties, after withdrawing from their membership, are accepted as members of the PDPU on a common basis.

  1. Rights of members of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan

All members of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan have equal rights. They have the right to:

freely express their views, raise and discuss issues of party policy, inner-party life, take part in development of decisions on them;

to elect and be elected to party bodies, to receive information about their work;

to be nominated by the party as candidates for election to representative bodies of state power at all levels;

to evaluate the work of any party body and any member of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan and criticize them;

apply with statements and proposals to any party authority and receive a response from it;

to participate in the work of mass public organizations and movements, the activities of which are built in accordance with the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan and do not conflict with the program goals and charter principles of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan.

  1. Obligations of members of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan

Member of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan is obliged to:

comply with the requirements of the Party Charter;

execute decisions of party organizations and elected bodies of the party;

to participate in the outreach work of the program goals of the party, to promote their implementation, to seek to strengthen the authority and influence of the party in society;

participate in the life and work of the primary party organization;

regularly pay membership dues

  1. Obligations of party organizations and elected bodies of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan

Party organizations and elected bodies of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan are obliged to:

maintain relations of party partnership in all party organizations, protect the rights of party members;

if necessary, provide political support for the social activities of party members;

to protect the honor and dignity of party members in case of violation of their constitutional rights and freedoms.

  1. Temporary suspension and renewal of membership in the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan

By the agreement with the primary party organization, a member of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan may temporarily suspend his membership in the party, about which he will notify the relevant party organization in writing, indicating the reasons for his decision.

The decision of a member of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan on the temporary suspension and renewal of his membership in the party is taken by the primary party organization and is reported to the relevant party council.

  1. Termination of Party Membership

Membership in the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan is terminated by the decision of the primary party organization in the following cases:

exclusion of a party member from the ranks of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan for actions and behavior incompatible with the requirements of the Party Charter;

establishing the fact of the loss of communication of a party member with the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan;

voluntary withdrawal of a party member from the ranks of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan.

  1. The procedure for exclusion from the ranks of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan

In the event that a member of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan performs actions incompatible with the requirements of the party, the primary party organization, higher party bodies may exclude him from the party ranks.

The decision on this is made by the meeting of the party organization or the higher elected body of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan and is considered valid if more than half of the party members registered in this organization or more than half of the members of this elected body voted for it.

A person excluded from the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan has the right to appeal to the party’s higher bodies within one year. An appeal shall be considered within a period of not more than one month from the day of its receipt.

  1. The procedure for termination of membership in the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan

The issue of a member of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, who for more than three months without valid reasons failing to pay membership dues or fail to fulfill other statutory duties, is subject to consideration in the primary party organization.

If it turns out that a party member has lost contact with the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, a decision is made to terminate his membership.

An appeal against a decision of a party organization to terminate membership in the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan in the event of loss of contact with the party is submitted and considered in the same manner as an appeal against a decision to expel from the party ranks.

  1. The procedure for voluntary withdrawal from the ranks of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan

A member of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, who has decided to voluntarily withdraw from the party ranks, notifies the relevant primary party organization in writing.

The decision of a party member on the voluntary withdrawal from the party ranks is taken by the primary party organization and is reported to the relevant district, city council of the party.
