Another benefit for women
Another benefit for women

In recent years, a large-scale work has been carried out in Uzbekistan to provide necessary assistance to women in need of social assistance, who have found themselves in difficult life situations, the unemployed, as well as women with disabilities.

In accordance with the Resolution of the President of the country “On the parameters of the state order for admission to study at higher education institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the 2020/2021 academic year”, four percent admission rates are allocated for women on the basis of a state grant, which has become another manifestation of attention and concern for them.

Such an exemption is granted to women from low-income families who do not have a constant source of income to pay for the contract, who are brought up in single-parent families, have disabled parents, from families raising disabled children, who live in difficult housing conditions and do not have a permanent place of residence, in short, women, in need of social assistance and support.

Providing such a benefit to women, first of all, will help to identify gifted and talented girls from low-income families. It will give them the opportunity to study at a higher education institution, find a decent job in the future, do what they love, help their family get out of poverty. Secondly, a woman with higher education will be able to properly raise her children, who in the future will benefit their country and people.

The next challenge facing us is to contribute to the provision of such benefits to those women who really need it. We will actively participate in this process and strengthen public oversight to prevent injustices.

Since such a privilege is granted to women in need of social assistance, who are our electorate, we, first of all, must create a list of women in this category and conduct outreach work with them. And for this, it is necessary to strengthen cooperation with the makhalla and family departments at places.
