One of the urgent issues in Uzbekistan is improving the system of support for different layers of the population, particularly citizens who need social protection and are in a difficult situation.
For this purpose, the initiative to develop the Social Code, promoted by the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, and define in it the categories of citizens in complex social situations and the types of assistance provided to them, in addition to the citizens with privileges, will prevent many problems. We believe that it will be a suitable solution to the current issues.
Adopting the Social Code at our party’s initiative will help form a unified social security system that considers the interests of all population segments.
This is especially important in economic crises when citizens face various difficulties.
Studying foreign experience in this regard, it becomes clear that there is a Social Code in Germany, France, Austria, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan. The Social Code is also valid in seven subjects of the Russian Federation: the Belgorod, Volgograd, Omsk, Yaroslavl, Leningrad, Astrakhan regions, and Saint Petersburg.
Adopting such a document in Uzbekistan would ensure a fairer distribution of social benefits and strengthen social stability.
This, in turn, eliminates bureaucratic obstacles and cases of corruption, relieves the burden on people needing social protection, and allows them to live happily.
