On October 11, 2024, the leaders of the People’s Democratic Party held a public event, and a meeting with about 1,000 voters under the open sky in the square of the Art Palace in Termiz city, Surkhandarya region.

At the public event, which began in an upbeat mood, the Chairman of the Central Council of the People’s Democratic Party, Ulugbek Inoyatov, and a group of activists explained the content of the ideas and initiatives included in the party’s election program, and what they serve in a simple and fluent language.

The party’s unwavering commitment to creating decent conditions for everyone, reducing social differences, aiding those in need, alleviating poverty, and ensuring a stable income source was underscored at the event.

The election program includes over 150 new ideas and initiatives, including 15 steps, and provides more information about some of them.

In particular, the party wants to achieve the adoption of the Social Code to ensure the effective implementation of the social rights of every person guaranteed by the Constitution. This document brings the legislation in the social sphere into a unified system and is the basis for a fairer distribution of social assistance and allowances, strengthening stability in society.

Also, the party strives to adopt the law “On the procedure for determining the minimum consumption costs”, which is considered necessary for every person’s basic life needs. This will guarantee that the minimum consumption costs will be updated and increased.

Ensuring the legal rights and interests of persons with disabilities remains a priority for the party.

The People’s Democratic Party is resolute in its decision not to alter the retirement age. Instead, it aims to enhance the state pension system to ensure that pensions and social benefits are sufficient for people’s vital needs.

Voters especially liked the initiatives that serve the interests of the population in need of social protection, as well as the opinion that the initiatives to introduce the practice of rotation of the jury institute and the chairpersons of the regional, district (city) courts aimed at ensuring justice serve the justice in the work of the courts.

At the same time, expressing great interest in the proposal to ensure openness and transparency in the activities of the Foreign Labor Migration Agency, to increase the agency’s responsibility to provide social and financial support to persons working abroad, and to protect their rights and interests, they also supported the proposals aimed at regulating the pharmaceutical industry.

Representatives of the party’s electorate also spoke at the meeting and emphasized that the proposals in the program are close to their family, relatives, work, and life.

They expressed their opinions about proposals and initiatives in education, medicine, social protection, and pensions. They noted that the People’s Democratic Party entered the election with a new approach, public events and meetings strengthen mutual trust between the political party and the voters, and the importance of new proposals and initiatives is better understood in mutual communication.

A short question-and-answer quiz was held about the news in the electoral system, the activities of the People’s Democratic Party, ideas and proposals in the election program, and promotional souvenirs were given to the active participants.

The participation of party activists and well-wishers from the neighboring Kashkadarya and Samarkand regions added more excitement to the public event. Representatives of various fields and youth united around ideas and initiatives that serve everyone’s well-being, showing a high example of solidarity in political processes. The guests who came to the oasis also felt the hot, loving touch of Surkhandarya.

Following the event, the importance of elections for the country’s development, their role in building a democratic society, and the influence of each of us on our lives were discussed, and calls were made to vote for the People’s Democratic Party and its candidates.
